Y'all tin can alter the font by going into the 'fonts' folder of your projection, and changing the value of the 'src' propert in the gamefont.css file. Brand sure to include the font file (ttf extension) in the same folder!
If you lot mean dynamic font switching mid-game, you can't do that without a plugin, and no plugin for that exists even so!

I accept been able to change the font within the engine but it does not alter the message box font. I am using Yanfly's Message Cadre and I have tried to change GameFont to the font I would like. Information technology has no issue on the text. I have also seen the tutorial video and used the /fn<fontname> in the message box itself and however there is no effect on the text. Can you please assist if you lot know further information?
Then that's a bug, and I would suggest reporting such to Yanfly.

And it's non just TTF. OTF (OpenType Font) is also supported which gives you lot meliorate flexibility when it comes to finding fonts of all kinds.

I am having the same consequence. Pending which ane I make the default, it runs information technology automatically and quite well. But \fn<fontname> doesn't do annihilation inside the message box. I can't alternate between the 2 fonts that I know both run only fine when they are the default.
...anyone effigy this niggling bugger out yet?

I know this is kind of a necropost (apologies!), just I stumbled across this thread and thought it might be worth pointing out that the font's properties display a capital letter Northward. Attempt changing the spelling in the CSS file to have a capital?
(So: "Nishiki-teki.tff" instead of "nishiki-teki.tff")
There's a like issue with the audio files, where if OGG files accept an extension of ".OGG" instead of ".ogg" they don't work, so I figure it's worth trying. Hope information technology solves this upshot.
EDIT: It could as well be that the dash character is messing things up. Perchance try removing it from the filename?
